Burgerparticipatie is van toepassing bij renovatie Dorpshuis Ophoven
In Ophoven zal het Dorpshuis gerenoveerd worden. De gemeente Kinrooi kiest ervoor om bij het ontwerp de inwoners en de gebruikers te betrekken om zo onder het motto ‘burgerparticipatie’ voor en door inwoners te laten gelden. Woensdag 23 mei vond er een informatieavond plaats waar een concept-ontwerp werd getoond.
“We kiezen ervoor om gebruikers van het gebouw te betrekken bij dit gebeuren”, zo verduidelijkt Schepen Sylvie Vanmontfort van de gemeente Kinrooi. “Er is 35 jaar geleden voor de laatste maal verbouwd, dus het gebouw is enorm gedateerd”, zo vervolgt ze.
Een architectenbureau uit Hasselt kreeg de opdracht en ging aan de slag met een boeiende uitdaging. “De opdracht is om een functioneel gebouw neer te zetten voor alle gebruikers waarbij de omgeving een bepalende inbreng heeft”, aldus architect Maarten Van Eyck.
Er wordt gewerkt met een budget van 1,5 miljoen euro. “Daarnaast proberen we als gemeentebestuur nog subsidies te verkrijgen”, aldus Schepen Vanmontfort. De huurpenningen gaan in ieder geval niet omhoog. “We hebben als gemeentebestuur een goed beleid rondom onze accommodaties, want de huurpenningen voor alle accommodaties in de gemeente is gelijk”, zo verduidelijkt Sylvie Vanmontfort.
Het subsidiedossier dat het gemeentebestuur voor ogen heeft zal voor maart volgend jaar moeten worden ingediend. De planning is dat eind 2019 gestart kan worden.
